S p r i n g   B l a s t o f f

Day 1

Meet at our hotel at 1:00 PM. After registering for your rooms we depart for an afternoon tour of the Santa Barbara Mission, known as: the Queen of the California Missions. We will tour this historic site and it’s cloistered garden. We will then tour the award winning A.C. Postal Rose Garden, a.k.a. the Mission Rose Garden. A visit to a private garden finishes our touring. We end the day at the historic Santa Barbara Harbor for a welcome cocktail and hors d’oeuvres.

Remainder of the evening is free.

Day 2

After a continental breakfast at our hotel we will depart for a morning tour of a historical Montecito estate. We will have a private docent lead us on our tour of the home, garden and antique workshop. This property is an excellent example of “Spanish Revival” architecture.

After our tour concludes we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

This afternoon we will tour the world famous Lotusland, which has been referred to as “The Smithsonian of Gardens” The lasting legacy of Gana Walska, a flamboyant diva of her time, she was married six times. It was during her marriage to her last husband she realized her mission in life was to create this spiritual sanctuary, unrivaled in the horticultural world.

This 37-acre estate comprises of 15 smaller gardens.

After our tour ends we will visit a nursery just south of Santa Barbara. Known locally for it’s unique and eclectic style. Ample time is provided for shopping. After shopping we return to our hotel.

Day 3

Today is a special day. We partake in a local home and garden tour, which has grown immensely in popularity, and is often a sold out event. A stop is provided for a (boxed) lunch. After we complete our special tour, we visit a unique home and garden shop known for it’s vast pottery selection.

Day 4

After breakfast we bid you adieu, the remainder of the day is free. Morning suggestion check out the Beach Art Show at Chase Palm Park along Cabrillo Blvd.

Individual arrangements can be made for transfers to the airport, train or bus station.
